We often get the question about how much water should I drink ? Dr. Steve takes a moment to answer this question with some added tips for water consumption.
In today’s lesson we are going to discuss water intake. I would say about 90% of our patients do not consume enough water on a daily basis. We recommend you drink 2-3 liters of water a day. You can purchase a 3 pack of these glass water bottles from Costco for about 20 dollars. We highly recommend these and we suggest you place some cut pieces of lemon or limes in the bottom. Pre fill them the night before keep all 3 in the fridge until you need them. I suggest you take one out in the morning and drink it before lunch time. Drink the second one in the afternoon before dinner time. Finish the third one sometime after dinner and before you go to bed. We also recommend you drink 1 to 1.5 cups of water first thing in the morning as soon as you wake up. Put the water by your bed, or in the bathroom, or wherever you go first thing in the morning. As soon as you get up drink that water right away. This will help to kick start your metabolism and help detoxify your body.
