Nathan Berardi PT
Nathan is a registered physiotherapist at our Physiotherapy Clinic in Oakville. He brings with him energy and experience. He has an honours degree in Kinesiology from Brock University and a Masters degree in Physiotherapy from University of Western Ontario. Nathan has won numerous academic accolades and awards including the Ontario Graduate Scholarship and Canadian Institute of Health Research award for health care professionals in the clinical field. His philosophy of physiotherapy in Oakville combines the utilization of exercise prescription, manual therapy, patient education and client empowerment. He is committed to evidence-based physiotherapy and has advanced training is soft tissue release, advanced acupuncture certification from the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute, concussion training and advanced manual techniques of the lumbo-pelvic girdle. Nathan has long-standing experience with seniors, athletes, weekend warriors and individuals who have had workplace injuries and motor vehicle accidents. In his free time, Nathan enjoys teaching other health care personnel about low back pain management at numerous clinics. Outside of work Nathan is an avid runner, enjoys hiking, playing tennis, resistance training, and spending time with his fiancée traveling (who is also conveniently a physiotherapist).
Michelle Fraser PT
Oakville Physiotherapist Michelle graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and then completed her Master of Physical Therapy degree at Western University. Michelle welcomes patients of all ages and ailments to her Physiotherapy Clinic in Oakville. Both playing and working with sports teams in the past has given her valuable experience and insight, helping her to treat sports injuries effectively and efficiently. Understanding the importance of preventative treatments when it comes to common injuries, she enjoys helping people stay active and healthy through exercise. She strives to empower and provide patients with the right education and tools to achieve their goals. Michelle has taken continuing education courses in soft tissue massage and myofascial release and is also BoneFit trained which enables her to provide training on the most appropriate, safe & effective methods to prescribe & progress exercise for people with osteoporosis. Michelle is also an author on a recently published research article summarizing risk factors for falls in older adults. She has always enjoyed living an active lifestyle and these days in her spare time she enjoys playing both hockey and soccer, traveling with her fiancée, running, hiking and spending time relaxing at her cottage with family.
Nicole Lake AT and RMT
Nicole Lake is the cornerstone of our Oakville physiotherapist clinic team. Nicole is a Certified Athletic Therapist in Oakville, registered with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association since 2015. She first completed her Honors Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics in 2011, followed by her Bachelor of Applied Health Science in Athletic Therapy in 2015. At the University of Guelph, Nicole had the opportunity to work with elite varsity teams both on the field and in their Athletic Therapy Clinic. With this experience, she decided to combine her love of sports and a desire to work in the health care sector and pursue a career in Athletic Therapy. Nicole has had the opportunity to work with all types of athletes; provincial level football teams, national ranking CIS football teams, rugby teams, hockey teams and everyday athletes. Nicole enjoys the challenge of working with each patient as a unique individual and developing a treatment program to address their specific goals. With a strong background in manual techniques, modality application and targeted progressive exercise programs, Nicole looks forward to helping you get back to your favorite activities!
